Cake decorating 101!

SO i finally decided to treat myself to some education! Not for credit though, for fun!

I have enrolled in a fondant and gum paste course and i'm sooo excited. I will be posting about my classes every Sunday when i get home to share all the secrets I learn. So far all i can share is my tools I have to buy:

-Student kit from wilson
- Fondant pack in either primary or pastel - I think I will get primary, I love bolder colors!
- Cornstarch
- White Fondant
- Cake circles 12"
- White Fondant
- Angled Spatula
- Rolling pin
- Icing sugar
- Scotch Tape
- Piping gel

I'm so excited! It starts in 2 weeks, and I can't wait to start being able to make some crazy innovative cupcakes!

Hamburger cupcakes

So I went back to finish my sleeve tattoo with joel yesterday. Since I can't afford to tip on top of paying for tattoo time, we have an unwritten agreement that i always bring in baking for the boys at the shop. This week I brought hamburger cupcakes! I saw these a while back and thought they were soooo cute, and had to try them out! I thinkt hey turned out so good, and the only thing I would change is buyign some big mac boxes to keep them in!

Gauges and Tunnels!

I am finally set up to start making custom gauged earrings and tunnels.

So far I have sprinkle plugs and seashell.

Plushies!

So I have found my sewing groove!

I LOVE plushies!

So far I have made a few sweets (cupcakes,donuts,and one or two rabbits)

Anyone have any plushie suggestions? I want to try more different objects/foods/animals but it is sooo hard to pick! I really like the kawaii style of making plushies - the faces are so cute and make even the most plain object come to life. If anyone has a really cute Kawaii picture, i would love to see it and make it into a plush!
